I started my first adult website on Feb 14th 1991, at that time the law as I understand it for the United States classified a minor as anyone under the age of 18 with some exceptions.
- 4 states you must be 21 to access the website.
- some areas in the Midwest and South age limit was 19 or 17 years of age.
I was one of the first adult websites to sell soft goods and VHS video tapes. Rather than list all the locations I just had one button that said Must be 21 years of age to enter.
A few years pass and I took all the legal text and buttons off linking to child protection software.
Above it states that MJ and Decker are 16.

Are adult websites required to have age requirements listed and no adult content on the front page?
I moved my server overseas, lets assume just for fun where my server is located people must be age 16 or over to access the website. If someone orders a VHS tape/DVD and I ship the video to a minor I am at fault. Is this where the virtual age mentioned above comes into play, and since the message was thru Facebook will server location effect the decision?
I
Can you suggest a good source for Adult Webmasters to find legal information, free searchable.

Firefox crashed twice while I was submitting this comment.
