Always a pleasure to encounter another fan of justice.

I am seeking a rehearing, though I have no illusions about the Court's likelihood of granting it, and thereafter, costs permitting, I will seek writs to the SCOTUS, though the odds of writs being granted are nearly as remote as the odds of the LASCT granting a rehearing.

I am of the opinion that this didn't just happen to me, and to the degree it does affect me directly, that's not nearly as important as how it affects the profession and the country as a whole, everywhere. Most people won't bother to read the case, and are even less likely to read the actual record, so to the degree I can make this more than just a one-sided discussion in the more public realm of social media, I think it's important.

Thank you for your comment. You don't sound at all like a troll.

Ms McCool, in light of the above and in the interest of justice I would think you'd appeal your disbarment - regardless of whether you'd practice again - rather than take it as is, responding only on social media.

Note: You don't know me. I don't know you. I'm not a troll and I'm not the media and all I know about you is what I read above. However, if I may, you can google my name and find I'm a real person and I am a big fan of justice - justice for all.

Mr. Goldman, you sound like a reasonable man and are, no doubt, an intelligent one. Are you willing to consider the possibility that because you relied exclusively on the opinion(s) written in my case, rather than going directly to the record, that you have most of the facts of the case wrong? You seem to care about this profession, as I do. Is it too much to ask that you get your facts from the record, rather than the opinion? The Court got most of them wrong and what they didn't get wrong, they misrepresented in such a way that it does not accurately reflect what happened, though it does allow them to justify disbarring me for my "defiance." .

May I ask, didn't the profession, at one time, draw a distinction between judicial opinions and the facts underlying those opinions? The spin, in this instance, is all the work of the Court. The record - including every exhibit filed by both sides - can be found online in my Scribd account. You can read everything the Court had access to there. Perhaps this will change your perception. Either way, if you want to have an intelligent discussion about this - which in reality is a symptom of a much bigger problem in our Courts - I would welcome it.

BTW, my wish was for justice, not just for two little girls, but for every parent and every child that seeks protection from the court, only to find they've walked into hell. Realizing how far judges and the Bar would go to protect other judges and the "right" attorneys throughout this process has been like losing my religion. I became an attorney because I believe in justice; I believe in our justice system at least as it appears on paper; I believe to my toes, in the Rule of Law. None of that was a part of Raven's case, or mine, and the record in both proves it absolutely, over and over again. The Court's decision, in spite of the record, is a disgrace to anyone who cares about the justice system, and I will wear my disbarment as a badge of honor to my grave. As I've said before - it is worthless to me if it will demand my integrity as the price of maintaining it. That is not a justice system; it's a quid pro quo that makes a mockery of this "sacred" profession.
