					<description><![CDATA[Wow, this is interesting, Venkat.  I&#039;m pretty sure Foursquare was doing the same thing a few years back to some of my family members.  I invited them to sign-up (back when you could get discounts for checking into places) and, apparently, many more emails were sent after my first initial invitation.  I had no clue until it came up in a conversation one night. So, this definitely holds true: &quot;Auto-posts and emails sent on behalf of users that they can’t control are terrible behavior on the part of networks. Not giving users granular control over these emails just feels like LinkedIn was trying to get cutesy.&quot;]]></description>
